Immigration lawyers consulted by Univision Noticias warn that it is not very clear if the new rule will effectively help decongest the border. “It’s definitely not going to decongest it right now, but it’s going to help, in a way, reduce the backlog in Immigration Court,” says Jose Guerrero, who practices in Miami, Florida.
