With the participation of around 50 university students, led by the Rector of the University of Colima, Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeñobegan this Saturday morning, in the archaeological zone “The bell“, the program “Hiking with the ACU”, which seeks to create a sustainable recreational space for coexistence, relaxation and physical well-being for its associates, as well as for the university community and their families in general.
In welcoming this activity, the president of the Colimense Association of University Women (ACU), Azucena Evangelista Salazar, said that this program seeks to promote coexistence and deportation not only among the members of said association, but also among the members of other related associations, in the university community and their families; “Today we start in this beautiful archaeological zone ‘La Campana’ with a route of 4.7 kilometers and in the coming months we will have nine more routes, in which we are advised and we will have the accompaniment of Dr. Ciria Salazarexpert in sports and physical activation”.
For his part, the Rector of the University of Colima, Christian Torres Ortiz, expressed his satisfaction with this ACU initiative, “because thanks to these ten tours organized in various areas of our entity, the university community will have an excellent space for the reunion and the practice of sport, so necessary for physical and mental health. I have always said that sport contributes a lot to the culture of peace; In this sense, I celebrate the initiative and extend an invitation to the entire university community to join the ACU hiking project”.
The Hiking program with the ACU will be carried out until December in various areas, such as the park “The rodeo, The Parotas” of Comala, the El Naranjal lagoonin Villa de Alvarezon the roads of Walnuts and in The auctionComala, with routes no greater than five kilometers.
