A different and multifaceted option is emerging in La Laguna following the pandemic, both for people who go out with more confidence to satisfy cravings or have fun, as well as for new entrepreneurs and those who endured the ailments of contingency and confinement, these are the so-called “parques de food trucks” o “food trucks parks”.
Between the places that have been maintained and that offer up to ten food stalls with different flavor alternatives, there is the one in the Las Etnias and Las Torres neighborhoodswhich are presented as a place to eat and enjoy with the family, since there is something for all tastes.
These spaces have a capacity of more than 120 people, have a playground and children’s activitiesin addition to offering live music with musical groups of the region, karaoke and presentations of comediansto provide a pleasant moment while they enjoy their food.
José Antonio Chávez Calderón, one of those in charge of the business of the Las Etnias sector, shared that they opened their doors in 2018 and were forced to close for regarding six months due to sanitary measuresto then almost start once more with the new normality and only a few places available at reduced hours.
“Little by little we were fully opened and the tenants rejoined. Different administrations have passed and it has evolved over time, we started with four premises, we have nine and one is regarding to open to close with ten in total, it is a place for young and old to entertain themselves”.
It is a place where you can taste dishes ranging from sushi, rice balls, corn, french fries, coffee, boneless, roast beef, to tortillas and seafoodwithout missing the bar with a variety of prepared drinks. One of the tenants of the place located on the Juan Agustín de Espinosa road, Daniel Hinojosa, shared that following the pandemic they changed their business and now they sell sushi in this placein which they saw a niche of opportunity for people to get to know the variety of culinary alternatives that they can enjoy in one place.
“It is a very good option for those who start a microbusiness and thus activate the economy in the region and in the country. We try to provide the best hygiene and the best attention to people so that they can enjoy something different as a safe place and adapted to the new normal.”

For its part, the one located in the Las Torres neighborhood has just over a year since its inauguration and the tenants agreed that it has been a stage of ups and downs, but that the last few months have been of recovery and positioning in the eight stores that the place has, located in the La Torres neighborhood.
According to one of the administratorsAna Cristina Martínez Bermúdez, is an option for families to come with the certainty that they will find appetizers for all palates, in addition to being in a safe environment for children and pleasant for adults.
“Since it is a totally family environment, they can come with their children, our public is very interested in coming because while they eat, the children have fun. The response has been positive because when whole families come, they are presented with alternatives so that each one can choose what they most want.”
In this space of food trucks, dishes such as birria, hot dogs, pizza, hamburgers, corn and prepared snacks, roast beef, al pastor meat dishes with cheese, sushi and seafood are offered.as well as a drinks bar.
It has its playground and a space for live performances of groups, comedians and imitators. Of the eight places that this space has, the one that offers hot dogs has been at the foot of the canyon in the face of the ups and downs that have happened as a recently created business.
Another tenant, Diego Licerio, shared that “we have been through very difficult situations, but also favorable ones, to the point of thinking regarding abandoning the ship, but suddenly we started to get ahead. The administrators of the place have been in charge of bringing very cool events that attract more people”. Also, he pointed out thatThis culinary turn is expanding in different parts of La Laguna.
