50% automatic discount on first roam
SK Telecom announced on the 30th that it will significantly upgrade the benefits of its ‘baro rate plan’, its roaming product, on June 1st to keep pace with the increase in overseas travel, and provide a 50% discount to first roaming customers for three months.
The upgraded ‘Baro plan’ can be selected from 3/4/7 gigabytes (GB) according to the data you want. Direct calls to text messages (SMS/MMS) are available for free, and special travel benefits are also provided.
The number of partner countries has expanded to 187 countries around the world, an increase of 61 countries compared to the previous one. The price and period of use are 29,000 won (7 days), 39,000 won (30 days), and 59,000 won (30 days), respectively, the same as the existing 3/4/7GB plan.
SKT expects that roaming convenience for overseas travelers will greatly increase as customers who subscribe to the upgraded ‘Instant Rate Plan’ can easily select and use only the desired data capacity without having to re-subscribe to the roaming plan on their next trip.
In commemoration of the ‘Baro Rate Plan’ upgrade, SKT is offering the ‘First Roaming Promotion’, which provides a 50% discount to customers who use the roaming plan for the first time or who have not used the roaming plan for the past 5 years, when using the ‘Baro plan’ until August 31st. implemented monthly. In addition, during this period, overseas travel insurance coupons will be provided with increased benefits from 30% to 50% (maximum KRW 15,000 benefit).
