The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune returned Friday evening to Algiers, at the end of a three-day state visit to Italy, at the invitation of his counterpart Sergio Mattarella.

The Head of State was welcomed on his arrival at Houari-Boumediene International Airport by Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane, Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), and the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Abdelaziz Khellaf.

Four fighter planes belonging to the Algerian Air Force escorted the presidential plane from its entry into national airspace until it landed on the tarmac of the Houari-Boumediene international airport, as a welcome to President Tebboune.

The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune held, this Thursday, May 26, 2022, a press conference with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella.

And this on the occasion of the three-day state visit that President Tebboune is making to Italy at the invitation of the Italian President.

Two countries have no particular interest in Libya other than its stability, namely Algeria and Libya.

President Tebboune on a state visit to Italy

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune begins a three-day state visit to Italy on Wednesday at the invitation of his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, a press release from the Presidency of the Republic said on Tuesday.

“At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune begins a three-day state visit to the Italian Republic from tomorrow,” reads the statement.

“This visit is of particular importance in strengthening the historic ties of friendship and strengthening bilateral relations in many areas, particularly in the economic aspect, and this, within the framework of a new vision of the two presidents aimed at instilling a new dynamic for dialogue and strategic cooperation between the two neighboring and friendly countries”, added the same source.

President Tebboune meets one-on-one with his Italian counterpart

The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune held talks this Saturday in Algiers with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, on a state visit to Algeria.

At the end of these talks, subsequently extended to delegations from the two countries, three agreements were signed by the two parties. These agreements concern the education, justice and heritage preservation sectors.

The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, this Saturday, November 6, 2021, his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella on his arrival at Houari Boumediène international airport.

Italian President Sergio Mattarella performing a state visit two days in Algeria was also welcomed on his arrival in Algiers by the President of the Council of the Nation Salah Goudjil, the President of the APN Brahim Boughali, the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Aïmen Benabderrahmane and the Head of State- Major of the ANP Said Chanegriha.

“The President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Sergio Mattarella will start a two-day state visit to Algeria on Saturday,” said a press release from the Presidency of the Republic on Friday.

“The President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Sergio Mattarella begins on November 6 and 7 a state visit to Algeria at the head of an important delegation”, reads the press release.

This visit is part of “the consolidation of the partnership and the strengthening of close cooperation relations between the two friendly countries as well as the opening of new perspectives in the service of the interests of the two peoples”, added the same source.
