The travelers, who saw their return flight canceled twice, landed in Montreal around 10:30 p.m., TVA Nouvelles learned.

Thursday, their plane might not take off due to a mechanical failure. The passengers had to wait two hours before being told to return to the hotel. A second return flight was then in turn canceled, once more causing the dismay of Quebec travelers.

Some of them have indicated to TVA Nouvelles that they have the firm intention of making an official complaint. They believe that Air Transat has failed in its obligations under the Canadian Transportation Agency’s guide to flight delays and cancellations.

According to an Air Transat spokesperson, passengers would have received three US$15 vouchers for supplies at the airport. Communications would also have been sent every 30 minutes to all travelers whose flight was cancelled.
