FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2022 – We will not remember much from this soporific closing ceremony of this 75th Cannes Film Festival, except the triumph of Ruben Östlund avec Without Filter, Palme d’or 2022… and a surprise kiss. That of Vincent Lindon and Carole Bouquet, as you can see in our video at the top of the article.
As she was regarding to deliver the 75th anniversary prize to the Dardenne Brothers pour Tori and Lokita, the actress asked the president of the jury for a favor. “I feel a bit alone there. Vincent, don’t you want to come and kiss me?”, demanded the one who appears in the casting of the series of Art In Therapy.
“That’s cinema!”
After some hesitation, Vincent Lindon finally performed to the loud applause of the Grand Théâtre Louis Lumière. “That’s cinema,” added Carole Bouquetbefore continuing his speech.
The scene happened as a few minutes earlier, director duo Charlotte Vandermeersch and Felix Van Groeningen kissed passionately on stage following winning the jury prize for their sublime The Eight Mountainstelling the friendship of two villagers in the Italian Alps.
A kiss that seems in any case to have turned the head of Vincent Lindon, somewhat disturbed when announcing the winner of the 75th anniversary prize. “It’s a swimming president who will therefore announce the price…”, he began before being interrupted by Carole Bouquet: “I am delighted.”
