Red Bull F1 Representative “Verstappen is not satisfied with the behavior of Turn 1” / Monaco Grand Prix Friday free run[F1-Gate .com]

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s F1 team representative, explained where Max Verstappen was dissatisfied on the track during the 2022 F1 Round 7 Monaco Grand Prix Friday free practice.

Active F1 World Champion Max Verstappen lost to teammate Sergio Perez in two practice sessions and finished fourth, 0.447 seconds behind Charles Leclerc.

Christian Horner revealed that Max Verstappen had a particular corner on the Monte Carlo city course where he was dissatisfied with the behavior of the Red Bull RB18.

“It’s Turn 1 anyway at the moment,” Christian Horner told Sky Sports F1.

“That’s the only thing we need to solve for him. I’ve tried some changes to the setup of places where he wasn’t as happy with the car as in the last session.”

“We are confident we can do that, but the Czech Republic (Perez) had a very good session and quickly found his confidence.”

“I think that’s the corner where he’s completely unsatisfied with the balance, both this morning and this session, but I’m confident that we have a lot of data right now and can get rid of it for tomorrow. ing”

Scuderia Ferrari admitted that the pace of the red car was outstanding following clearing one of the Red Bulls for 0.3 seconds in the second practice session.

“They were showing a lot of speed in this session,” commented Christian Horner.

“Of course, I don’t know the energy and engine mode they’re running, but it looks pretty snappy.”

“I think we have some areas in the car that we can clean up, but let’s see if we can get closer to that time tomorrow.”

2016 F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, in support of Christian Horner’s comment, says San Devote is a particularly important corner of the Monaco track.

“It’s a very good indicator of the comfort of your car in Monaco,” said Nico Rosberg.

“I saw him braking there a little earlier than his teammates. I haven’t dialed in yet.”
