Citizens and residents in Jeddah governorate complained regarding the high prices of rental apartments these days, in addition to the incapacitating requests from some property owners.
A resident of the governorate, Majid, explained toNews 24He said that during his search for an apartment to move to, he found great difficulty, as the prices are high, and the requests of the property owners make it difficult for the tenant to obtain housing, such as asking them regarding his job, and asking them for a salary definition and insurance of up to 3,000 riyals.
During a field tour and a review of real estate platforms on the Internet, the prices of unfurnished apartments were monitored, starting from 25,000 riyals per year, 35,000 riyals for three rooms, 40,000 riyals for four rooms, and up to more than 50,000 riyals for five rooms.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing was contacted to clarify the procedures it is working on to limit the price hike and the plan necessary to correct the housing conditions in Jeddah, but it did not respond to the inquiries sent via e-mail.
