Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed the benefits of coffee for heart and liver patients, and the amount allowed to be consumed daily.
Al-Shehri said, in an interview with “SBC” channel: “Coffee reduces the death rate,” pointing out: “The University of Oxford investigated from 1966 to 2013, and all studies found that drinking 4 cups of coffee a day reduces deaths from heart, respiratory and other causes by 16%, and reduces Deaths due to heart disease increased by 21%.
He pointed out: “Coffee is great for liver health because it cleanses it, and this is due to caffeine and antioxidants, and it has been scientifically found that coffee combats the scarring that causes cirrhosis of the liver and is excellent for patients with hepatitis.”
He continued, “Studies have shown that coffee combats depression, provided that the safe limit does not exceed 400 milligrams of caffeine, which is equivalent to 3 to 4 cups per day.”
