Air France specified that the new La Première cabin would be launched during the 2023/2024 winter season, and would be “the longest on the market”.
Few details have been released on the future product, with Air France saying it is currently in the design phase, but the airline said “the future cabin will be the longest on the market and will offer up to three modular configurations that can be fully privatized for an even more exceptional trip: a seat, a sofa and a bed that lies completely flat”.
The carrier also said the new La Première cabin would be available on more aircraft than currently available, adding that the move “confirms the airline’s commitment to continue to offer its most exclusive and more elegant.
The announcement comes just weeks following Air France unveiled its new business class suite with sliding door, which will be fitted to select B777-300 aircraft later this year. The airline’s La Première suites were introduced in 2014 and are currently available on select B777-300 aircraft serving destinations in North America, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
Commenting on the news, Benjamin Smith, CEO of Air France-KLM, said: “La Première represents the highest level of French excellence and is an integral part of Air France’s DNA. Even at the height of the Covid crisis, we were able to observe the attractiveness of such an offer for our customers, particularly on the North Atlantic route, where the load factors in the La Première cabin are currently higher. than they were in 2019. We look forward to unveiling this new cabin, which will meet the highest global standards.”
Recently Air France took advantage of the Cannes festival to promote its premiere. The company has created a unique space, within the Martinez hotel, highlighting the offer of La Première: a confidential terrace, overlooking the Oasis, the new outdoor space of the palace.
Those privileged enough to have access to this space were able to enjoy tailor-made cocktails, with or without alcohol, and appetizers made with caviar, imagined by Anne-Sophie Pic. In another space, a “beauty expert” offers personalized advice for 30 minutes according to skin and hair type with express beauty treatment…The space is open until May 28, 2022…
