A man died following jumping from the roof of a building when he saw the police arrive.
An incident occurred on Thursday followingnoon in the Reussbühl district of Lucerne. According to the police, a passerby was first “attacked by a dog and its owner” in the street. When the police arrived, the man entered a building and took refuge on the roof. From there, he threw stones and various objects in the street, disrupting traffic.
The Lucerne police say they have called in specialists to try to communicate with the man on the roof. “Even before they might do it, he jumped into the void from a height of several meters,” said the police. The man was hospitalized in critical condition, before dying at the end of the followingnoon. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances that led to this dramatic sequence.
