“The others must have slept on the bus…”

The bus, from the Pelikaancars company, was indeed no longer very recent, explains Het Laatste Nieuws. And quickly, water began to fall into the cabin. No big deal for the driver, who continued on his way. Until the water leaks are too important. Finally, the driver decided to stop in a garage, in Perpignan.

The problem is that the bus company had no plans to make the students and their teachers wait. “We had to wait from 9 p.m. to midnight, without anything planned,” Chelsea told Laatste Nieuws.

Worse, quickly, one of the teachers understood that another bus would be needed: the bus used had indeed several problems, and it would not have been prudent to take the road once more. “We had to find a hotel to sleep some of the students, and the others had to sleep in the bus”. All at the expense of the teachers.

The few students who slept on the bus had a hellish night.

The group was finally able to board a new bus on Thursday followingnoon and returned to Belgium this morning.

Pelikaancars did not wish to react.
