Sony resumes sales of the a6400 in Japan, which was halted due to semiconductor supply problems :: Bodnara

Sony (SONY) resumed accepting orders for mirrorless camera a6400 in Japan.

On December 23, last year, Sony stopped accepting orders for some digital cameras, camcorders, shotgun microphones, etc. Among them, the a7 II and a6100 have even declared the end of production because there is no prospect of future parts supply.

The a6400 resumed accepting customer orders at Sony dealerships and Sony stores in Japan from the 27th, but sales schedules for products that stopped accepting orders at the same time were still not released.

As of May 27th in Japan, the products that are on hold of orders are the professional camcorders PXW-Z190, ILME-FX6, PXW-Z150, PXW-Z90 and the multi-battery adapter kit NPA-MQZ1K. Among mirrorless cameras, the blogcam ZV -E10 series and a6600 series, and a7C series and shotgun microphone ECM-B1M are included.

Meanwhile, due to the resumption of a6400 sales in Japan, attention is being paid to whether the a6400 sales, which have risen in price due to lack of supply in the domestic market, will normalize.
