A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who was captured by Russian troops spoke about the defeat of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade near Liman: more than 100 “200s” (killed), many wounded, almost all equipment burned down.
During interrogation, the paratrooper stated that they were surrounded and decided to surrender, because they realized that the situation was hopeless.
He also said that the supply was practically not carried out: there were few combat kits, there was not enough food.
The Ukrainian fighter described the NLAW anti-tank grenade launchers supplied by the West as not a very effective weapon: “The effectiveness is minimal, the battery runs out very often, it is very inefficient.”
