Exclusive translation: A soccer player in the Saudi Professional League has been accused of assaulting and beheading policemen in Bahrain.
According to the newspaper, “GDN Online”, the 23-year-old Saudi player appeared before the Supreme Criminal Court yesterday for the first time, accompanied by his lawyer, Zahida Al-Sayed, and they denied the charges against him.
The lawsuit alleges that the player assaulted two policemen after he refused to be searched by officials at King Fahd Causeway on May 3.
The defendant initially told the prosecution that he regretted it and did not know how he did it.
