Exclusive translation: Brazilian singer Zand Aveo suffered burns to his right arm while performing at a concert in Sao Paulo last Saturday night.
According to the Daily Mail, the pop artist was with his group at the Viixe Forró Festival and Piseiro and in the middle of the show, one of the smoke machines at the front of the stage appeared to catch fire as soon as Aveo approached.
One of the flames engulfed Aveo’s arm for a few seconds before extinguishing. The 40-year-old quickly walked away from the occasional flamethrower and returned to his squad. Fortunately, he was unharmed and was able to finish the show and traveled to Brasilia to sing at another concert.
Avião later highlighted the incident on Instagram. The singer informed his followers of 9.7 million on Tuesday, saying, “When I’m off stage, I work as a double-actor for Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider…”.
Avião sarcastically added that film producers should contact his director for any future big screen shows. “No matter the jokes, thank God it was just scary, it’s okay!”.
“I lost my hair on my arms and had a force epilation,” Avião said in a video on Instagram Stories. My head is hot, the upper knot is intact, everything is fine.
Artists are warned of the dangers of getting too close to the flame prop machine. Saying, “My fellow singers, be careful with that thing out there. Some think it doesn’t burn, but it does burn and it burns really hard.”
