As a “nice emergency” Hospital de La Estrella cataloged on social networks the birth of Elizabeth, the first baby to be born, following ten years, in the remodeled hospital center of this municipality in the south of Valle de Aburrá.
The mother, Jéssica Molina, had attended the hospital for the contractions that, although “they were very close together”, she might bear. She just wanted to check that she was in normal condition. “But when the doctor checked me out she told me that she was dilating too fast and He asked me if I had brought everything to have my little girl. I was scared,” Molina said in a video shared by the medical center.
And it is that in La Estrella no children were born for ten years because the hospital did not have a delivery room. But with the remodeling came a new TPR room at the hospital, as well as a trained staff to handle births.
“In our Hospital La Estrella we treated the arrival of this little girl as a beautiful emergency to which we reacted, we provided excellent care and that with all love we welcome you to the world”pointed out the Siderense mayor Juan Sebastián Abad.
The full complement of the new room gave Molina the required calm to advance in her delivery. “When I saw everything I calmed down, they did the tact, I was already at 9 and I started to cry with happiness because it was my first natural birth”recounted in the video shared by the hospital.
“After several years of waiting in La Estrella, a new siderense was born. Today we celebrate life and welcome the world,” the hospital center said on Twitter on May 16, when Elizabeth was born.
