Quarantine authorities strengthen monitoring of monkey pox inflow into Korea

(Yeongjongdo = Yonhap News) Reporter Haein Hong = The quarantine authorities announced on the 24th that they would strengthen monitoring to prevent the introduction of monkeypox into Korea, where there are cases of infection from overseas. The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters (Bangdaebon) said at a briefing on the same day, “We are receiving temperature checks and health status questionnaires for travelers who have visited countries with monkeypox when entering the country.”
The quarantine authorities explained, “Unlike Corona 19, monkey pox does not have high transmission power.
