Pre-game notes:
ROCHESTER, NY – Leading 2-0 in their best-of-five series, the Laval Rocket will look to advance to the American Hockey League Conference Finals on Wednesday night when they visit the Rochester Americans .
Jean-François Houle’s squad won 3-1 and 6-1 in the first two games, played at Place Bell.
A victory tonight would allow him to sweep the series and avoid staying in New York State until Saturday, since a possible fourth game would not take place until Friday.
Cayden Primeau, stellar so far in this series, will once once more be the starting goaltender for the Rocket.
For the Americans, Aaron Dell will be in net.
Houle really liked the atmosphere and the hard work of his proteges during morning training at the Blue Cross Arena.
“It’s a great opportunity for us,” he said at a press briefing. It’s the hardest game to get. It will be very important to have a good start to the game.”
The meeting is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
