Marvel unveils its next-generation superhero, Ms. Marvel, through Disney+. ‘Ms. Marvel’ tells the story of a 16-year-old girl, Kamala Khan, who dreams of becoming a superhero and an avid fan of the Avengers and Captain Marvel. In the original comics, Kamala is accidentally exposed to ‘Terry Zen Mist’ and awakens as an in-human and gains her super powers. Therigen Mist is a special substance in the Marvel universe that can awaken the sleeping power when inhaled. However, in the drama, Ms. Marvel is expected to have a slightly different setting from the comics. In addition, it is planned to be drawn as having the power to handle a different light, adapted for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), rather than the power to stretch or swell like the comics. Above all, Ms. Marvel is meaningful in that she is the first Muslim hero in the history of the Marvel series and is a woman among Muslims. Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American from New Jersey.
