Venemergencia present at the Congress of Internal Medicine |

On May 18, 19, 20 and 21, the XXVII Congress of Internal Medicine was held at the Renaissance Hotel in La Castellana, where Dr. Luis Enrique Velásquez, co-founder of Venemergencia, participated with his presentation ”Telemedicine and its impact in handling the pandemic.

This meeting, organized by the Venezuelan Society of Internal Medicine, annually brings together leading professionals in the health area to learn regarding innovations and advances in medicine through the presentation of clinical cases, symposiums, talks and practical workshops.

”I feel very honored to have been invited to participate as a speaker among so many admirable health professionals, who, like us at Venemergencia, have the daily mission of caring for the health of Venezuelans. Since 2020, cases treated through telemedicine have grown by 75%, which shows that this medical practice has important value as a primary care tool”said Dr. Velasquez.

In this edition, around 250 professional doctors and medical students were able to enjoy, online or in person, more than 80 conferences that 57 Venezuelan speakers and 10 international speakers prepared framed in the central theme of the congress: A new post-Covid challenge. 19.

As part of the activities developed within the framework of the congress, a workshop on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for which Venemergencia made available to the attendees, the special equipment necessary for the induction and practices. ¨At Venemergencia, we are proud to be part of initiatives like these that contribute positively to the training of health professionals in our country”added Dr. Velasquez.
