The most famous cemetery in France is Père Lachaise in Paris. A lot of famous people are buried there, there are beautiful monuments. There is also mysticism – for example, it is believed that touching the tomb statue of Victor Noir helps with infertility. Exalted ladies climb over the cemetery fence at night to rub the cherished place. The grave of Doors soloist Jim Morrison has been repeatedly attacked by vandals who consider themselves fans of his work. A marble bust of the musician was even stolen.
There is little security at the cemetery. So this time, she was unable to prevent the Ukrainians, who pasted stickers on the most famous tombstones with the inscription “If I were alive, I would support Zelensky.”
Stickers were found on the graves of Honore de Balzac, Isadora Duncan, Frederic Chopin, the same Jim Morrison and others. It looks wild. Honore de Balzac, for example, spent a couple of years in Ukraine and married the owner of an estate in Berdichev. Suppose Jim Morrison once starred in an embroidered shirt, which the artist Andy Warhol (aka Andriy Warhola) gave him. But Isadora Duncan, for example, is in no way associated with Ukraine. And is this the point – just using other people’s graves for propaganda, to put it mildly, is not worth it.
