The Mirrored Force Resonance adopts an elegant new form featuring a newly designed case, movement and dial that incorporate Armin Strom’s unique and chronometrically perfect Resonance technology. New proportions which make it possible to sublimate this innovative movement.

Armin Strom conquered the watch industry in 2016 by unveiling the Mirrored Force Resonance, a watch that takes advantage of the physical phenomenon of resonance in an ingenious and unprecedented way. It sets new standards of chronometric precision and regularity by accomplishing what watchmakers have until now thought impossible.
Revisiting the independent Manufacture’s flagship creation in 2016 from a new angle, the totally redesigned Mirrored Force Resonance takes the winning formula of superior chronometric stability and reinvents it as part of a refined new artistic expression. On the outside, the case has been totally redesigned to benefit from thinner 43mm x 11.55mm proportions, more elegant and refined lugs, as well as a very subtle “lip”, Armin Strom’s signature at 6 hours.
On the caseback side, the raised sapphire crystal makes it possible to appreciate an innovative and truly unique movement from other angles. A redesigned design for more openness and three-dimensionality. The two balance bridges have notably been opened up to provide better visual harmony between the two synchronized balance wheels and the off-centred dial. The push-button at 2 o’clock allows the two running seconds indicators, by mirror-rotating clockwise and counter-clockwise, to be reset and visually track the state of resonance.

The extent of the complete overhaul of the movement is revealed by turning the watch over. Inspired by the golden age of precision maritime chronometry, the engraved main plate presents the particularities of the Mirrored Force Resonance thanks to a text in positive relief. Highlighting the ingenuity of the Resonance which has two synchronized movements thanks to energy sources and independent gear trains, the symmetry of the movement is accentuated thanks to the mirror arrangement of the gear trains and open bridges. This open execution also allows the Armin Strom manufacture to showcase its hand-finishing expertise while highlighting the brand’s history as a preeminent maker of skeleton watches. The wider bevels of the hand-made bridges and the countersinking, added to the mixture of mirror-polished and satin-brushed surfaces, also reflect an exceptional quality characteristic of fine watchmaking and of this exceptional craftsmanship.
In addition to the architecture and movement overhaul, other mechanical features have been updated. For example, ratchet wheels and pawls are now inspired by those present in pocket watches and generate a more homogeneous tactile experience during winding.

An exceptional first series
Respecting a new tradition at Armin Strom launched recently through other collections, the first edition of the Mirror Force Resonance is limited to 25 pieces. The even more special character of this edition is revealed through several details exclusive to this series. The two finger-type bridges between the ratchet wheel and the barrels are made of white gold. The opaline dial is designed in “black gold”. Finally, the watch has a 10-year warranty instead of Armin Strom’s usual 5-year warranty.
