There are regarding three months left for Apple to finally officially present the new smartphones that will make up the iPhone 14 family.
Naturally at this point in the calendar, in recent weeks we have seen a significant increase in the number of reports and leaks around this device.
Where some of the main reports have focused on the photographic section, since, in theory, Apple would finally update its image sensors, which have been the same for more than 6 years.
This would be an important advance for this line of smartphones, but, knowing Apple, this would still represent the perfect justification to also increase the sale price of the device.
The truth is that all the leaked reports so far focused on the phone’s rear camera. Until now.
The iPhone 14 would take expensive selfies
From Korea, on the site ET Newsan interesting leak arrives around Apple, where it is stated that one of the big updates that will come with the iPhone 14 would be the selfie camera.
Since, in theory, the guys from Cupertino would be looking to acquire a high-end front photo sensor, looking for the people at LG Innotek as a possible new supplier to supply this component together with Sharp.
This rumor would be something relatively uncertain and delicate, since being true would represent the first time in Apple’s history that a Korean company manufactures the front camera of any iPhone model.
The reason would be simple: Apple would seek to substantially improve the photographic section of the front camera of the iPhone 14 and these two companies would be the ones that would offer high-end technology at the best production cost.
There has been talk for a long time that LG Innotek would integrate its cameras into the iPhone 15, but now everything indicates that Apple would have advanced its plans.
The front camera of the iPhone 14, according to the report, would be manufactured in China, but several quality problems arose that would have led them to change their original schedule.
Due to the very nature of the report, this is practically impossible to confirm, although the community of users of this brand will agree that the selfie camera already feels old compared to what is on Android.
The great little detail is that the cost of this new photo module for selfies would be three times more expensive than the current one.
This will surely be reflected in the final selling price of the iPhone 14.
