Government freezes Silverline stonewalling; The court asked whether the commotion was necessary Silver Line

Kochi: The government has informed the high court that the stone laying carried out as part of the Silver Line project survey has been frozen. The government presented the order in the high court. The survey will be conducted using the Geo tag. The court asked if the geo-tag survey might not have been done earlier and if there had been a commotion. The court said the controversy might have been avoided if the survey method had been changed.

The court adjourned the case once morest the stone-throwing petitions for later consideration. The move comes following the government demanded a delay in submitting more documents.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said that the social impact study of the Silver Line project will continue without a hitch. The Chief Minister said that the Revenue Department has clarified the issue of demarcation and there is no need for stoning.
