Emirates News Agency – Poetry Academy participates in Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2022 with a number of important events and publications

ABU DHABI, May 24 / WAM / During its participation in the 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2022, the Poetry Academy of the Cultural and Heritage Programs and Festivals Management Committee in Abu Dhabi is participating in a number of important events and publications, including 8 signature ceremonies and two poetry evenings.

Sultan Al-Amimi, Director of the Poetry Academy, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the support that the academy and cultural institutions in the UAE receive from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, is very great, and we bear a great responsibility towards taking care of local culture. Enhancing the presence of poetry, customs and traditions, referring to His Highness’ directives to support literature and culture in the UAE, the Arab world and the world at large, through direct and indirect support for poets and writers represented by the Million Poet and Prince of Poets competitions, which are considered one of the largest international competitions to support poetry, poets and their audience from different countries of the world and not only From the Emirates and the Arab world.

Sultan Al-Amimi said that the Poetry Academy is participating in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, as part of its keenness to have a permanent presence in this fair, which occupies an important and prestigious position on the map of international fairs in the world, noting that the Academy participates in a number of important events and publications, on top of which is a package Among the commemorative works are publications that were printed at the expense of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in the late sixties to the beginning of the eighties, copies of which were printed, and will be available to the public in commemoration of these important works.

The pavilion also includes a number of new publications in Nabati poetry from ancient and modern, as well as poetic studies related to Nabati and eloquent poetry, in addition to poetry collections, adding that the academy, during its participation in the exhibition, opens registration for the new academic season, and holds a set of signature ceremonies and two poetry evenings.
