The General Administration of Health Services at the Ministry of Defense represented by the Department of Armed Forces Hospitals in the Taif Region and the Armed Forces Center for Psychological Care in Taif launched today (Tuesday) the Third Conference on Mental Health in the Military Environment for the period from 23-25/10/1443 AH corresponding to (24-26/ 5/ 2022 AD), and it will last 3 days. The conference aims to provide psychological support to the heroes of the armed forces for their participation in defending the security and sanctities of the homeland and the psychological effects of the Corona pandemic. A number of military and civilian leaders in the Ministry of Defense and senior specialists in psychiatry and mental health will participate in the conference to shed light on (mental disorders during the Corona pandemic, addiction disorders, psychological standards and tests, psychological and social support for the military and their families), and the latest developments in this field.
It is noteworthy that 20 hours of continuous medical training will be accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
