Police in Besançon, France, arrested a 13-year-old girl who stole her mother’s car and tried to hit officers who arrested her, reports The Parisian.
Last Thursday, the police were called to intervene in front of a school where a vehicle was making dangerous skids.
Officers on motorcycles spot the car on a street near the school. When they arrive next to the car, its driver begins to perform dangerous maneuvers, obviously to try to hit them.
“She deliberately tried to hit the police who told her to stop. They risked their lives,” said the director of public security, Yves Cellier.
Eventually, the car had to come to a stop due to heavy traffic. The police then smashed the windows of the vehicle to extract its occupants: a 13-year-old driver and her 14-year-old passenger.
The teenage girl driving is an out-of-school girl who stole her mother’s car, the police commissioner said. Two knives were also seized during the search.
The passenger was released, but the driver was accused of aggravated violence once morest the police, carrying a weapon and refusing to comply.
