Return of the Djerba-Zarzis destination to the Italian market

A flight from the two Italian cities, Milan and Verona landed on Monday at Djerba-Zarzis airport, with 97 tourists on board, announcing renewed interest in this destination from the Italian market, following two years of related stagnation to the Coronavirus pandemic.

To this end, the regional commissioner for tourism in Medenine, Hichem Mahouachi said that one flight per week has been scheduled, with the possibility of an increase in frequency, depending on demand.

This recovery comes in the context of an almost ordinary return of air traffic to the Djerba-Zarzis destination, observed since last April on the classic markets, Italian, German, Belgian, Portuguese, Polish, etc., and this , with 760 regular and irregular flights, underlines Mahouachi, noting that this figure is expected to increase in the coming weeks.

According to the same source, the number of arrivals has reached 150,000 tourists in the region since the beginning of the year and until the end of April 2022.
