Rainbow Six Siege Unveils New Year 7 Content ‘Operation Vector Glare’

Ubisoft Entertainment has released details of ‘Operation Vector Glare’, a new content for Year 7 Season 2 of its tactical multiplayer FPS game, Rainbow Six Siege.

In Operation Vector Glare, which will be officially reflected in the game on June 7th, you can meet a variety of things to enjoy, such as a new operator and team deathmatch map, an improved reputation system, improved features, and changes to the narrative.

First, Sens, an attack operator from Belgium, joins the team. Sens is an outstanding tactician who has undergone various military experiences and psychological training, and is expected to play an active role as a core force in the attacking team. Sens’s special weapon, the ROU Projector System, can create a wall of light through a wheel that moves in a straight line. The wall of light can effectively obstruct the opposing team’s view for a certain period of time, so it can be used in various attack strategies. The Sens can use a POF-9 or 417 as a primary weapon, and an SDP 9MM or GONNE-6 as a secondary weapon.

Operation Vector Glare also introduces a new map, Close Quarter. Close Quarter, created with Greece in the background, is a map dedicated to team deathmatch, developed to enable Greece’s unique circular flow and various views. In particular, because it was developed with an emphasis on the movement of players rather than the establishment of defensive positions, it offers a different style of battle from the existing ones.

Starting this season, players will have access to two onboarding tools: a practice area and an operator guide. In the practice area, you can find the optimal equipment combination for yourself, such as weapon firing range, play practice, and attack damage measurement, and you can use the operator guide to check each operator’s abilities, tools, and strategy tips. In addition, the first stage of the reputation system for improving player behavior starts, and if you intentionally injure many allies by abusing the wrong shot, you will be warned and forcibly banned from shooting your allies. Additionally, players will be given more control throughout the combat process, and privacy options will be available to all players.

To coincide with the content update, Ubisoft is also working with the SEGA and Yakuza franchises to release new skin bundles. At the start of the season, new skins for Hibana and Echo will be available, designed with inspiration from Sayama Kaoru and Kiryu Kazuma, among others.

Through the Squad Up Reactivation Program, Ubisoft offers players the opportunity to enjoy new content with friends and receive various gifts. You can invite up to 4 friends who have not yet experienced the new content, and if you play 5 matches with them, you and the participant will receive various gifts such as exotic weapon skins and battle pass points.
