A specialist in family medicine and chronic diseases, Dr. Muhammad Fahmy Kharroub, revealed in an interview with him in the “newspapers” section that he had seen a case of monkeypox in Lebanon and had symptoms, considering that the problem was embodied by the Minister of Health Firas Abyad and his medical team who lacked a way to deal with crises. Kharoub noted: I have now received a second case of monkeypox in southern Lebanon, following it arrived from Africa.
He pointed out that the PCR examination for monkeypox does not exist in Lebanon, adding that there is no vaccine, no treatment, and prevention is very necessary.
Kharoub also gave advice to those infected and to prevent the virus, and also spoke regarding the death rate and infection rate.
