The giant Electronic Arts is considering being bought out or merging with a bigger company, according to a report from the Puck site.
“In recent years, as media companies have taken more interest in the growing gaming industry, Electronic Arts have held interviews with a number of different potential suitors, including Disney, Apple and Amazon, have me says sources familiar with these discussions“, says Puck reporter Dylan Be.”Several sources familiar with these discussions say that EA has been persistent in pursuing a sale and has only become emboldened in the wake of the Microsoft-Activision deal. Others say EA is primarily interested in a merger deal that would allow Wilson to remain CEO of the merged company.“
Andrew Wilson being the name of the CEO of Electronic Arts. The company would therefore have sought to merge with the giant NBCUniversal, or to be bought out by Apple, Disney or Amazon. Currently, nothing has been signed, but EA would not be regarding to give up.
