Director of Egypt’s Future Project for “AHA”: Egyptian wheat is one of the best types in the world

Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Bahaa El-Ghannam explained – in an exclusive statement to the Middle East News Agency, today (Saturday) – that the moisture content of wheat that is imported from abroad ranges from 12 to 13%, while the moisture content of Egyptian wheat ranges between 9 to 11% only. Noting that low humidity is an indicator of the quality of wheat.

With regard to the degree of purity of Egyptian wheat, El-Ghannam said, “The degree of purity of Egyptian wheat is much better compared to many types of wheat worldwide,” stressing that the expansion of the cultivated area within the project primarily targets strategic crops, noting that there are continuous directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to meet the needs of the local market and provide all the requirements of the Egyptian citizen in the first place.

He pointed out that the project works to permanently maintain the instructions and directives issued by the President of the Republic to achieve food security and reach self-sufficiency, with full care to help eliminate unemployment and employ civilians in different specializations so that the citizen feels the amount of work done and the President’s plan for economic expansions that It will achieve economic growth and sustainable development, and work in the partnership system with serious agricultural investors with limitations, controls and experiences in dealing with this type of economy to maximize returns.
