Febe Vandewalle, 26, is the mother, in particular, of a 4-year-old girl. This Wednesday, this resident had a very bad surprise. Indeed, as explained by Het Nieuwsblad, she received messages that were inappropriate to say the least from a stranger who had added her to his friends not long ago: “He had already sent me messages of a sex via Snapchat”, explains the young mother, “but I hadn’t paid attention to it”.
Aware that this kind of thing happens via social networks, Febe did not want to make a big deal out of it: “Until his requests become concrete and concern my 4-year-old daughter”.
“He asked me if he might rent it. I asked him what he meant by that, and he replied, “Have fun”. I pretended not to understand,” she says.
Mum of two young children, Febe took screenshots of the chat and sent them to the police: “They quickly realized the seriousness of the situation […] I hope the police will manage to prevent him from taking action”.
The prosecution confirms a complaint once morest a young man in his twenties from Dadizele. He was arrested by the police.
