(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Jeong-jin = The crime action movie ‘Crime City 2’ starring Ma Dong-seok surpassed the 2 million cumulative audience on the 21st, the fourth day of its release.
Distributor Avio Entertainment announced that as of 12:30 p.m. on the same day, the cumulative number of viewers of ‘Crime City 2’ recorded 2,01,105.
This is the highest box office hit among Korean films that have been released in the past three years. It is a record that surpasses the movie ‘But Save Me from Evil’, which mobilized 2 million viewers on the 5th day of its release in 2019.
‘Crime City 2’ tells the story of Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) and the detectives of the Geumcheon Police Station’s homicide squad pursuing the infamous criminal Kang Hae-sang (Son Seok-gu) who has taken over Vietnam.
