OnePlus releases two new smartphones

The Chinese brand is attacking the entry level with two new models, the OnePlus CE 2 Lite and OnePlus Nord 2T.

Billed at €299 and €399 respectively, the OnePlus CE 2 Lite and OnePlus Nord 2T are the brand’s new entry-level flagships.

Known for its high-end smartphones with exceptional performance, the manufacturer is increasingly aggressive in the entry level. It is once once more renewing its catalog with two new products.

Despite its low price, the CE 2 Lite seduces…

The OnePlus CE 2 Lite is the cheapest 5G model in the brand’s catalog. With an entry price of €299, it is positioned as an alternative to entry-level devices from Xiaomi, Samsung and Nokia. Despite its low price, it embeds premium technologies. 5G of course, but also fast charging (33W), a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a 64 megapixel photo sensor. Since we are at the entry level, we will of course have to make some concessions. On the screen side first of all, we will be satisfied with an LCD screen instead of an AMOLED screen, we will also be satisfied with a processor a little less powerful than usual since we find here an Adreno 619 ( supported by 8 GB of RAM on the other hand).

The 2T incorporates some nice innovations in the entry level.

A little more expensive, the OnePlus Nord 2T introduces some major innovations in the entry level. Here we go from a 30W charger to an 80W charger, ultra-fast, which allows you to fully recharge your smartphone’s battery in just 27 minutes. With it, OnePlus is also betting big on the photo with a 50-megapixel optically stabilized sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.

“The 50 MP Sony IMX766 was chosen for its large 1/1.56 inch sensor, 1.0 μm pixels and OIS support. The sensor thus excels in low-light conditions, allowing the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G to take brighter and more detailed photos in low-light environments. With enhanced Nightscape Mode, the power and AI computing power of the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset takes low-light photography to a new dimension with the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, which can capture the best low-light images ever taken with a OnePlus Nord phone. This computing power further enables the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G to shoot slow-motion video at record frame rates, up to 960 fps, and record fast-moving motion with a high level of detail. explains the manufacturer in a press release.

At the front, there is a 32 megapixel camera, which has nothing to envy to that of its big brother, the OnePlus 10 Pro.

On the performance side, we are also entitled to a substantial gain compared to the CE 2 Lite with a Dimensity 1300 processor, the Rolls Royce from MediaTek, and 12 GB of RAM. Finally, we go to an AMOLED screen, instead of the LCD screen of the CE 2 Lite.
