China builds bridge: Foreign Ministry says it is monitoring China

New Delhi: China is monitoring reports of a second bridge being built across Lake Pangong near eastern Ladakh, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Arindam Bagchi has said. He added that the area where the bridge is said to be under construction has been under Chinese occupation for decades.

‘I saw news and reports that China was building a bridge. There are reports that the second bridge is under construction and the first bridge is under development. The area mentioned in the reports has been under Chinese occupation for decades, ”he said. He added that India has held talks with China at the diplomatic and military levels and it will continue.

It is reported that a bridge large enough to carry army tanks targeting India is being built on Chinese-controlled land. Satellite images of the bridge being built were released from both sides of Lake Pangong. The construction of the small bridge, which can carry soldiers and vehicles, was completed last month.
