The artist, Muhammad Abdo, always raises controversy with his statements regarding his fellow artists, especially the late ones, the last of which was during his arrival as a guest on the “Stages” program with the media Ali Al-Olayani on the SBC satellite channel.

During the meeting, Muhammad Abdo described the tune of the late artist Talal Maddah’s song “My Beloved Country” as stolen, pointing out that Talal Maddah and Abu Bakr Salem did not leave a national legacy.

The Arab artist recalled his memories with the song “Maqadar” and rejected it, and stated that he was subjected to a conspiracy on one of the marriage occasions that he revived with Talal Maddah, which prompted the audience to leave before singing following Talal Maddah finished his connection.

The daughter of the late artist, Talal Maddah, responded to Muhammad Abdo’s speech, in which he mocked her father, and accused him of stealing the tune of his most famous national song, “My Beloved Country”, from an old Yemeni song.

Ikhlas Talal Maddah said in a post on her account on the social networking site: “No friendliness shows what time hides, no matter how challenging it is.”

Followers interacted with the post, and one of them commented: “Whoever wants glory and beauty and becomes more famous, let him mention the name of Professor Talal Maddah, may God have mercy on him.”
