San Cristobal.- Juan Vicente Pérez Mora he knows he is “the oldest old man in the world.” This is how he made it known on the morning of this May 18 to Jesús Rojas, a young man close to Don Vicente, as everyone knows him in San José de Bolívar, the town of Tachira where he oldest man in the world He has lived since he was four years old. On May 27, Pérez will be 113 years old.

We are very grateful, the whole family, for having him at this age still with us, enjoying him immensely,” said Nélida Pérez, one of the 11 children that Don Vicente had with his wife, who died in 1997, following 60 years of marriage.

Juan Vicente Pérez Mora was born on May 27, 1909 in El Cobre, José María Vargas municipality of Táchira state. He was the penultimate of the 10 children that Eutiquio del Rosario Pérez Mora and Edelmira Mora had.
