Camille Vasquez, the lawyer for Johnny Depp, has revealed why he avoided looking at his ex-wife, Amber Heard, during the Depp libel trial, which is being heard.
Observers watching the trial first-hand note that Depp refused to look at Heard in the courtroom, a subject on which Depp’s lawyer, Amber, was questioned.
Vasquez asked Heard an obvious question, “Mr. Depp didn’t look at you once during this entire trial, did he?” Heard answered that question by saying, “I didn’t notice, no.”
“But you looked at him many times, didn’t you? He promised you that you would never see his eyes once more, is that true?” Vazquez continued.
Heard’s response was that she did not remember whether he said that or not, so it was only from Depp’s lawyer that she opened an audio recording of one of the last meetings between the separated couple. In this recording, Heard can be heard begging her ex-husband, Depp, to let her give him a goodbye hug, but he refuses, saying he never lets her see his eyes anymore.
Depp’s lawyer returned to the questioning of Heard, saying: “He kept his promise, didn’t he?” Heard replied: “As far as I know, he can’t look at me.” Can”.
