Ustad Hotel, directed by Anwar Rashid and released in 2012, was one of Dulquer Salman’s hits. The film is scripted by Anjali Menon and produced by Listin Stephen. The film also stars Thilakan, Nithya Menon, Siddique, Mamukoya and Lena in the lead roles. Asif Ali also appeared in the film in a guest role. The actor arrived at the Ustad Hotel as actor Asif Ali.

One of the favorite scenes of the audience in the movie was the scene where Mamukoya asks Asif Ali ‘Kunchacko Bobanalle’. Asif’s reply to Amitabh Bachchan, not Kunchacko Boban, was also interesting.

Asif Ali says that many people still ask him ‘Kunchacko Bobanalle’ and sometimes he gets angry when he asks that. The actress was speaking in an interview with Anna Keerthi George for Dolnews.

“I get guest roles in many films because of my friendship. I do a lot of guest roles outside of friendships like that. A freedom to ask me if that character does is outside of friendship. I’m going out and out of friendship. All the guest roles I do always have an identity. I still go to weddings when people come and ask ‘Kunchacko Bobanalle’. I do not know what to do with it. Sometimes I find it funny, but sometimes I feel terribly angry.

People say this dialogue every time there is a terrible run. When I was in a funeral home, someone would come up behind me and ask if I was Kunchacko Boban. I will look back. He watches my movies and the best way to show that he knows me is to say my dialogue. Guest roles are done for friendship but there has been an identity to it all. It is like a gift from God, though not intentional, ”said Asif Ali.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali’s upcoming film ‘Crime and Punishment’ is all set to release. The film is directed by Rajeev Ravi. Apart from Asif Ali, the film also stars Sunny Wayne, Alanzier, Sharafuddin and Senthil in the lead roles. The film is being produced by Arun Kumar VR under the banner of Filmroll Productions.
