June 30 will be the last date for the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation to determine the host country for the upcoming “Gulf 25” tournament.
The Iraqi city of Basra wants to host the Gulf assembly, with the Kuwaiti capital, Kuwait, as an alternative to hosting the tournament, with the tournament taking place in early 2023.
Recently, a delegation from the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation concluded its inspection visit to Basra, which was presented by Jassim Al-Rumaihi, Secretary-General of the Federation.
The delegation made sure of the readiness of the facilities and stadiums hosting the “Gulf 25” tournament, and was also briefed on hotels in the city, as well as other service and tourist facilities.
The Gulf delegation also held meetings with some officials of the Iraqi Football Association.
