The Moon entered the penumbra and then the Earth’s shadow last night. The phenomenon was visible from a large part of the planet, including Guadeloupe. Back in image, on this amazing spectacle and explanation as to the coppery hue taken by our satellite.
Guadeloupe is one of the territories from which the total lunar eclipse was visible, on the night of Sunday May 15 to Monday May 16, 2022.

Many stayed up late to see this relatively rare phenomenon, where the satellite was in perfect alignment with Earth and the Sun. This happens, totally or partially, two to five times a year.
This time, the show might be observed between 9:32 p.m. and 2:51 a.m.
