The Consumer Protection Association revealed the possibility of a danger if the car’s fuel tank is fully filled, especially in summer days.
The association indicated that the Saudi regulation “Gso SASo 24” requires that the tank be designed so that there is an empty space at the rate of 2.5% of its capacity, so it is not possible to fill the car’s fuel tank to its full capacity actually.
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization confirmed that filling the tank to the extent allowed in specifications and standards does not constitute a danger, because fuel tanks are designed in a way that ensures that they can withstand the maximum temperatures and pressures in normal conditions, and are also equipped with pressure relief valves to drain fuel vapors in order to find a state of balance. inside it.
