Quite a controversy on social networks has caused the letter sent by the manager of Colanta, Sergio González, to the company’s suppliers and in which he refers to the presidential elections that will take place on May 29.
In the letter, calls on suppliers “to be sensible” following warning them that “we are living in complex times, a decisive presidential change is coming that might mean a before and following in freedom to continue along the path of growth and job creation.”
As it was expected, the reaction of the presidential candidate of the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro, was swiftand it was as a result of the publication of the news by SEMANA on Twitter.

Although in the letter the manager of Colanta did not mention any of the candidates who will contest the first presidential round, he assured that “the country needs us, that is why we invite you to participate in an act of survival voting for order and opportunities for Colombia”.
“The time has come for us to abandon indifference and that the hatred that the Colombian people feel for white-collar criminals does not lead us to choose the wrong course for the country,” he added.
In the letter signed by the manager of Colanta as “A committed citizen” he asked suppliers and family members to vote “choosing the development of the Colombian countryside and not a so-called change that is a leap into the void with no return and the time has come to do political activism by exposing an indecisive person, with arguments that are convenient for the country and getting them to vote conscientiously.”
