Smuggling attempt of 600 kgs of hashish and 130 kgs of meth foiled

Authorities say two attempts to smuggle drugs into Kuwait have failed. Attempts to smuggle 600 kilograms of hashish and 130 kilograms of crystal meth into Kuwait from abroad were thwarted by the authorities.

A boat carrying 600 kilograms of hashish was found by the Kuwait Coast Guard. An unidentified boat that had entered Kuwait’s maritime border and was regarding to enter an island in the country was detected by radar on the Coast Guard’s Directorate. The boat was later located and inspected in collaboration with the Kuwait Air Force, the Fire Department and the Maritime Rescue Department.

Meanwhile, security forces arrested three Iranian nationals with 130 kilograms of crystal meth in the northern part of the country. The boat, which had entered Kuwait’s waters, was also captured by radar.
