Afnan Fouad was born on July 28, 1990 in the city of Riyadh, and her origins are from the Al-Baha region.
She began her artistic work in 2011, through her participation as a new face in an episode of the series “Tash Ma Tash 18”. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Media, and also holds a course in Dramatic Arts from the Manhattan Academy, in New York City, USA.

Afnan Fouad revealed the story of her entry into the artistic community, and she said in a press interview: My beginning was through my participation in the famous Saudi series (Tash Ma Tash), with a starring role in one of its episodes, titled (Bair Kong).

Choosing her roles and daring
Afnan Fouad talked regarding how to choose her roles, and she said in a press interview, “I choose my roles with care and accuracy, and in a different spirit in every work, because I am looking for diversity in my work, and I strive to develop my performance through study and experience and talent.
She added, “I hope to embody new roles that represent an addition to my artistic career, and that express models and personalities that already exist in society, especially in this period that is witnessing a cultural, artistic, dramatic and cinematic revival in Saudi Arabia.”
Afnan Fouad also talked regarding presenting boldness in her work, and said: “I am offering something for the sake of society and a bold role in the thesis, not for stardom or something else.”
And she continued, “I am daring as long as there is daring, not just imagination and a show for stardom, and there is a ceiling in Saudi Arabia to raise issues, and I am in line with the customs and traditions of society and I do not violate them.”
Saudi Drama
Afnan Fouad praised the strong and clear dialogue of Saudi drama at the Gulf level, but she indicated in a press interview that what she lacks to be able to succeed more is to get rid of paralysis.
She said, “You need enough time to progress further and release new producers and writers, to broadcast different ideas and series than usual.”
