Reserve data of adulterated medicine

Because it was classified as reserved, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) recused itself from reporting the status of the two complaints filed by the State Commission for Protection Against Sanitary Risks in October 2018 and April 2019, derived from the detection of adulterated medication at the “Ignacio Morones Prieto” Central Hospital.

In response to a request for information, the FGR reported in official letter No. FGR/UTAG/DG/002577/2022 that it was turned over to the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (FECOR).

He stated that when carrying out an exhaustive search of the files in his archives, he located the beginning of an investigation folder in process related to allegedly apocryphal drugs in said hospital “ignoring whether they are the same facts to which he refers”, accurate.

It argued that there is a legal impossibility to provide information immersed in said investigation since it is classified as reserved in terms of the provisions of section XII, article 110 of the LFTAIP and Thirty-first of the General Guidelines on Classification and Declassification of Information.
