Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has revealed the fate of his player Robert Lewandowski, in light of widespread speculation regarding his future.

This came in statements quoted by the former newspaper “Bild” journalist Philip Claser, who works in a newspaper, in which Herbert confirmed the club’s adherence to the player.

What did the president of Bayern Munich say regarding the future of Robert Lewandowski?

“Robert Lewandowski has his contract at Bayern Munich until June 2023 and he will fully abide by it until the end of it,” Hainer said.

And press reports had linked Lewandowski to joining Barcelona during the next summer transfer period from the Bavarian club.

Those reports indicated that the deal would cost the Catalan club no more than 35 million euros, with only a few months left until the end of his contract.

Why won’t Lewandowski complete with Bayern Munich?

According to press reports, there is an offer from Bayern Munich that allows Lewandowski to continue with the team, but the Polish star rejected it completely.

Bayern Munich has offered to extend Lewandowski’s contract for an additional year at the same current salary, while the Polish star wants a three-year contract.
